A recent demand from the European Union would require Google to warn local residents before sending out the cameras. It also required Google to keep the not blurred versions of the photos no longer than 6 months, instead of a year. This requirement was abolished on January 1, 2012. Google was instructed to give advance notice online and in the local press before photographing.

In 2010, Google announced that it might cancel Google Street View service in the European Union due to unmanageable requests of the European Commission.

The Data Protection Directive says that identifiable people have a right to data protection.
Google Trusted Photographer
The coordinates dropped us in Lagos. From there I started walking through the streets where I found something interesting things. Later on I expended to small cities near the coordinates. Where I found an interesting houses and nature. After that I "walked" near the coastline. Where I came across some person who did the 360 photos in an area. This is something I found interesting because in my idea the pictures where made by a car riding around.

Something also interesting I came across whit where all these different textures. For example the houses and buildings are made from different materials than here. So i started collected a couple different textures.

After founding one street view person I started searching for more people who made 360 photos on street view. I came across a couple other persons or just feet. This took my interest and that is what I'm going to work on.

I started exploring on maps and found out not every street view picture was taken by a car. I found people documenting a walk/ trip with 360° pictures. I found this very interesting next to the fact there is not a lot nature documented on street view. With this project I want to become a google guide/ trusted photographer and upload more nature to the virtual streets.

It was very interesting with a 360° camera. It is something very interesting because you can show every side around you. This is something interesting where I want to dive in more in the future. I think in these times with covid19 there are a lot of possibilities with the 360 cam. Thinking about events you can walk through while you’re at home.
Next to this I find displaying more nature on the virtual world an interesting thing. It is great that you can walk through streets using your computer but there is not a lot of nature to walk through. I think this is because there aren’t many roads for the car to drive to so that is why I took the initiative.
